The EURO Working Group on Ethics and OR gathers scientists, teachers and professionals in the field of Operational Research who are committed to inspire OR researchers, teachers, students, consultants and decision-makers to integrate ethical aspects and considerations in their OR research, teaching, consultancy and decision-making.
At our latest EURO Working Group Meeting (Fontainebleau, April 26, 2003), we decided to change the name of our EURO Working Group from 'EURO Working Group PROMETHEUS on Ethics' into 'EURO Working Group on Ethics and OR'. From now on, all those interested in 'Ethics and OR' can become a member of the EURO Working Group whether they take the oath or not. Taking the oath will be seen as one possible personal action working group members as well as non-working-group-members could take. In order to accentuate the separation of the Oath and the Membership of the Working Group, two new web sites have been developed, one for the EWG and one for the Oath:
